Imagine the thrill of mushing an Alaskan dog sled team deep into Algonquin Park Canada area wilderness and overnight winter camping in a cozy, wood stove heated canvas tent.
Come and join us for an outdoor winter wilderness adventure led by qualified guides and support staff with over 30 years of experience.
Your group will trek through beautiful winter forests and wildlife areas as you travel to your winter camp where a hot meal and heated tent awaits you under the shimmering winter stars. After the huskies have been fed and bedded down for the night join your guides in a wolf howl and explore the surrounding area for wildlife tracks.
These programs and courses will teach you all the necessary skills required to handle your dog team and sled on as you drive your team a memorable winter holiday.
We run our dog sled trips in the beautiful north west corner of Algonquin Park wilderness which insures good snow conditions well into April. We strongly suggest that you plan to spend the night prior to your trip departure in the area so that you will be available to start the training at South River on Hwy 11 at 8:30 am on the first day of your adventure. Comfortable motel accommodation is available (Please call) and round trip transportation from Toronto may also be available for the trip dates listed below.

James Bay Dog Sled Expeditions
We ask that on these these 7 day expeditions that you have at least a previoius 3 day dog sled trip experience as a prerequisite:
7 Day Fraserdale to Moosonee Dog Sled Adventure: TBA Please call.
175 miles following the voyageur route along the Abitibi River. Drive your own 6-8 dog team. We use a combination of tents and cabin accommodation along the route. Includes meal & accommodation in Moosonee. There will be time to explore the northern Cree village of Moosonee.
Return from Moosonee to Cochrane via the Polar Bear Express
We ask that on these these 11 to 15 expeditions you have at least a previous 5 day dog sled trip experience as a prerequisite:
11 Day Cochrane to Moosonee Dog Sled Adventure: $2895.00
Mush an 8 dog team 225 miles along the voyageur route up to James Bay. Very demanding physically. All equipment included.
Return from Moosonee to Cochrane via the Polar Bear Express. Please call for possible dates.
Trip Date: Jan 18-28, 2009
15 Day Cochrane to Moosonee Dog Sled Adventure: TBA Please call.
Depart from South River Saturday morning. Returns 15 days later to South River Saturday night. Allows 4 days to explore the historical trading post of Moose Factory and to interact with the aboriginal community of Moosonee. You will have the option of testing your sledding skills in competitions with local mushers.
Return from Moosonee to Cochrane via the Polar Bear Express. Please call for possible dates.
