Trips in Algonquin Park, Ontario

(Best viewed at 800 x 600)
Imagine the thrill of mushing an Alaskan dog sled team into Algonquin Park Canada area wilderness and overnight winter camping in a cozy, wood stove heated canvas tent.

Join us for dog sledding outdoor winter wilderness adventure led by qualified guides and support staff with over 35 years of experience on Algonquin, Ontario wilderness trails

Your group will mush through beautiful winter forests and wildlife areas as you drive your dog sled to one of our 7 remote winter camps where a hot meal and heated tent awaits you under the shimmering winter stars. After the huskies have been fed and bedded down for the night join your guides in a wolf howl or explore the surrounding area on snowshoes for wildlife tracks.

These programs and courses will teach you all the necessary skills required to handle your dog team and sled as you drive your team a memorable winter holiday.

We run our dog sled trips in the beautiful north west corner of Algonquin Park, Ontario wilderness which insures the best snow conditions well into April. We strongly suggest that you plan to spend the night prior to your trip departure in the area so that you will be available to start the training at South River on Hwy 11 at 8:30 am on the first day of your adventure. Comfortable resort or motel accommodations are available (Please call) and round trip transportation from Toronto may also be available for the trip dates listed below.

Just wanted to drop you a line now we're back in the uk with a bump. A really big thank you from all of us....... I know you've heard it all before, but the dog sledding was the most amazing experience ever - it was nature at its rawest, the thrill of the sleds as they zip through the forest and the complete silence of those beautiful dogs (well that is until we stopped and they barked and howled to urge us on) and none of us can quite settle since we've been back home - and thats just after one day! Suffice to say we had an absolutely fabulous time. Husband wants us to do the two day one next!!

We would like to thank you, the guide and the whole team for an unforgettable (2 day) weekend. Everything was just awesome!!! It was very enjoyable to get involved into camp live and take care of the dogs, who are so hard working and very loveable creatures. I was quite surprised how much they love to cuddle. We are in fact considering to adopt one of them...

The trip was well organized and food was excellent and plenty at all times. The night in the heated tent was warm and cozy, almost too warm for me at times, but just about right for others;-) Last but not least the weather was in our favour with cristal blue skies on Saturday, amazing stars at night, best enjoyed from the middle of a frozen lake.
