3 And 6 Day All Inclusive, Algonquin Park Interior Wilderness Canoe Trips Guided By Paddle Canada Certified Guides / Instructors

About Algonquin Park

Algonquin Park is the oldest provincial park in Ontario and one of the largest parks in Canada and the largest wilderness canoe park in the world. It encompasses 8,000 square kilometers (3,500 square miles), with over 1600 kilometers of canoe routes within Algonquin Park boundaries which provides numerous possibilities for an unforgettable wilderness experience. On these Algonquin Park canoe trips, we’ll travel in modern lightweight canoes, camp on Algonquin Park interior wilderness sites, sleep in comfortable two-person tents, bake fresh bread and goodies right in camp, and eat like royalty. You will see what equipment works very well and what to leave behind. This will be an event that will change and enhance your experience of wilderness canoe travel forever. Paddle Canada Basic Canoe Intro to Tandem Lake Canoeing certification is included on this Algonquin Park canoe trip.

What Our Guests Say

I attended a 3 day canoe camping outing in Algonquin Park in July 2013. During that weekend, I learned basic canoeing skills, including how to quickly and effectively do a canoe over-canoe rescue, and obtained my level 2 certification at the completion of the trip.

All of the logistical aspects of the outing were professionally handled by Wilderness Adventures (such as canoe rental, park permits, dry bags, dry backpacks, tent, meals and snacks, cooking equipment, water filtration system, meal preparation, etc.) which resulted in nearly zero planning for the trip. The only planning involved selecting personal items (clothing, toiletries) – which was also made easy as they provided me with a detailed list ahead of time. It was a great weekend, the weather was fantastic and I learned a lot of valuable skills.

I just want to say that I had a great time on the 3 day Algonquin Park canoe trip. I really loved it. The food was  really delicious!! One of my best weekends here in Toronto so fare.”

Jacqueline J. from Holland

Thanks again for a fantastic canoe weekend in Algonquin Park last week. We all had a very good time, and I really enjoyed the chance to get back out in a canoe and do some interior camping. I would really enjoy another trip with you next year and will highly recommend you to my friends.”

Jeff R. Port Colborne, Ontario

“I just want to say that we had a great experience in our canoe trip last week. Our guide was the best. He is very good, helpful, knowledgeable and a very good conversationalist. He even made the rain and thunderstorm, fun. The entire experience was second to none. We had the chance to see Moose, enjoy good food, a great camp site and through the process learn a lot about canoeing and camping. The group of people we went with (we did not know any of them prior to the trip) were very good and friendly.   We will definitely go back next year.  Thank you.”

3 Day Algonquin Park Canoe Trips (West or East Side)

These are fun and adventurous 3 full-day canoe trips deep into the interior of Algonquin Park, Ontario, Canada.

Everything you need for this trip will be supplied, including high-quality waterproof canoe packs, food, canoes, tents, and guide. You will need only your personal items and a sleeping bag.

We paddle 8 to 12 km a day at an easy pace, moving through numerous wilderness lakes and gentle rivers. 3 days later we will return to our starting point. The plan is to be off the water each day by 3 pm to allow everyone plenty of time to relax, swim, fish, explore, and enjoy the area we are camping in that night.

You will have the opportunity to experience equipment and techniques that will ensure that your encounter with nature will be a safe, dry, warm, and comfortable one. This is a true Wilderness Canoe trip into the interior of Algonquin Park where there are no roads, buildings, cottages or power lines….nothing but pristine wilderness. Unlike the companies along the Highway 60 corridor that will only take you “canoe camping” through the crowds of people and canoes through lakes with cottages and motor boats. We don’t consider any of these lakes along Highway 60 wilderness anymore.

We often see moose, deer, beaver, osprey, and loons and may hear wolves howling in the distance at night.

On the East Side of the park, we will explore the Barron Canyon area.

This Algonquin Park canoe trip will be an event that will change and enhance your experience of wilderness canoe travel forever.

This 3-day canoe trip in the heart of Algonquin Provincial Park offers paddling through beautiful lakes, Including Grand Lake to High Falls Lake, and a thrilling paddle through the stunning Barron Canyon which is one of Algonquin Park’s most dramatic and well-known natural features. The canyon is a deep gorge with towering cliffs that rise 100 meters above the Barron River. The formation of the canyon dates back to the last ice age when glacial meltwater carved through the Canadian Shield. The canyon is a spectacular sight, and paddling through it offers an awe-inspiring experience. The surrounding area is rich in wildlife, with birds of prey, otters, and various species of fish inhabiting the region.

Starting and ending at the Grand Lake Achray Access Point, this trip includes scenic portages, incredible geological formations, and abundant opportunities for wildlife watching and exploration.
