Day 1
Stay: Lighthouse Reef Basecamp on Half Moon Caye
Meals: Lunch & Dinner
Our trip starts at 8:30am in the lobby of the Biltmore Hotel in Belize City. From here we embark on a boat journey that takes us beyond the main Barrier Reef to Lighthouse Reef Atoll and our basecamp on Halfmoon Caye. To begin, guides provide professional instruction – teaching sea kayaking, snorkeling, and safety in tropical waters before heading out to explore our tropical paradise.
Days 2-4
Stay: Lighthouse Reef Basecamp on Half Moon Caye
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
“If there’s a heaven on earth, then this must be it” one guest wrote of Halfmoon Caye. You’ll find empty beaches, a rare bird colony, untouched coral reefs and sleep with breathtaking views of a billion stars stretching over the ocean. Over 3 perfect days we snorkel the Blue Hole, paddleboard, sail our kayaks and venture outside of the reserve for Belizean style fishing expeditions.
Day 5
Stay: n/a
Meals: Breakfast & Lunch
For your last day at Lighthouse the choice is yours – snorkel your favorite patch reefs, paddleboard or sea kayak around Halfmoon Caye. For a slower pace, you can swing in a hammock or walk the island trails to a secluded beach. After lunch, a motorboat charter picks everyone up for the return trip to the mainland, arriving late afternoon.
Halfmoon Caye Basecamp, Lighthouse Atoll
We are privileged by special arrangement to stay within the Halfmoon Caye Natural Monument. Our basecamp within this pristine marine park is designed to provide maximum comfort with a minimal ecological footprint.
Sleep in seaside tent-cabanas furnished with wood-framed beds, nightstand, lighting and room to store your personal gear. Tents can accommodate singles, doubles and families.
Meals are served in our comfortable dining room with a spectacular view of the Caribbean Sea. Our central bathhouse has modern eco-sensitive composting toilets, running water and solar warmed showers.
Single Supplement:
Our standard trip pricing is based on double occupancy. Solo guests can request either to share twin accommodations with another traveler or request single accommodations with a single supplement fee. If we are unable to match with another solo traveler, then the single supplement fee applies on all trips

Belize Biltmore Hotel: If you want to stay at the Belize Biltmore Hotel in Belize City the last night of your trip then a special rate of $155 US including taxes for a single or double occupancy.
